Hip Scope Recovery 5 Weeks 2 Days ~ Physio Progression

Did I mention I love my physios?  They have been so wonderful through everything and are just so supportive, I couldn’t have got two better people to work with :-)

I got a new exercise to add to my list today.  It is an extension of one I am already doing.  Lying on my back (back in neutral position) with knees bent, feet on the floor; engage pelvic floor and lift one foot off the floor about 1cm for 3 seconds.  This part I was doing and apart from being a bit lop sided when my op side is bracing rather than doing the exercise I’ve had no trouble with it.  Today we added straightening the leg once it has been lifted ie. extend knee and point toes.  Oh yeah, I FEEL this lol  I can only manage to slightly straighten my op side as it is quite painful, but can fully extend my other side.  Again while the op side is bracing I am unstable and my physio let out a whoop that she’d found something I can’t do lol.

Left them both yummy choccies and hugs until the new year :-)   Will find out tomorrow whether or not I’ll be going back to work.
