Hi Jennifer :-)
Wishing you all the best for your surgery and a speedy recovery! Glad my blog could help you feel more comfortable about getting it done :)
If you are having a straight forward labral debridement you should be back on your feet in a few days...was 10 days on crutches for me for my first one. I did no exercises, just a bit of swimming when I was allowed in the pool and gradually increased exercise as tolerated.
Recovery is a bit different if you end up having a labral repair or FAI correction, flick me an email if you like :)

I am scheduled to have left hip arthroscopy, labral debridement next week. I am a ballet teacher and I am concerned that I will not be able to continue. Reading your blog has given me a little more hope. I hurt after taking a walk right now I hope I do as well as you. Any info about how long it took to recover, exercises you did or anything else that you might think would be helpful. jennifer
