Hip Arthroscopy Recovery Day 3
ByI’m still doing quite well. Have not had to take pain meds since in the hospital, still just taking the Voltaren to help prevent heterotopic bone reformation.
Using one crutch inside, can go without for a few steps which surprises me and using two outside. Went out to the mall to get some groceries earlier today, must have wiped me out as I spent three hours asleep on the couch this afternoon! One cat seems to like sleeping on my hip so if I’m on my side she jumps onto it and I nearly hit the roof.
Trying to sleep on my back where possible as I woke up in the night pretty sore in my right bursa area, don’t want to cause further problems there.
Overall, still feeling positive

I was wondering what symptoms you had with your tear? I have been in pain for over 1 1/2 years and the dr’s are just now starting to lean toward the idea of this labral tear. I was just curious what your symptoms were so I can kind of get an idea of it is similar to mine.

Hi Nate,
I had a lot of catching (short, very sharp pain) especially when twisting such as getting out of the car etc. I also had clicking, and deep aching in the groin and had buttock and back pain. A more in depth story can be found on the ‘My Hip Story’ page.
All the best
Jess
