Glad to hear you are home and recovering! Best wishes to you. You may already know this trick, but if you hook your post-op foot with your good leg foot you can use it to put it on bed, get in car, etc. It's great, haha. Works everytime!

This reinforces the issue of getting waxed before surgery!!! When I had successful surgeries,I felt better right away, obviously there was a lot of post-op pain but there was a huge difference between the failed and successful surgeries that I noticed right away.

LOL CLAIRE! Only YOU would say that! The have to put a post between your legs to stop you from slipping down the table when they distract the hip.
Can come over whenever you like, I'm feeling great :-)

Hey Susie,
The traction isn't as bad as it looks. I have no lasting effects, no numbness or anything :-) Plus you've already done it 3 times!
I think he said there was significant damage to the head/neck area and he shaved that off with a motorised burr...not sure if he took any of the acetabulum down as he didn't do the repair. More questions for me to ask, but I will get my op report in a couple of weeks :-) Surprisingly I think I feel better after this op than I did after my first!

Hi Jess,

Glad the surgery is over and you are home!! I am so curious about the damage to the femoral head/neck. Did he then just re-shape? I wonder how close the damage was to him having to decide whether to do a THR.

Let those meds keep you happy. Rest up and please keep the updates to us coming.
